Eligibility requirements

This page presents the main eligibility requirements for repayment of the cost of a charging station at home. Other conditions and obligations apply. Consult the normative framework (French version only) for more details.

• The application for a rebate must be for a home charging station that appears on the list of eligible charging stations posted on this website. To appear on this list, the charging station must:
  • Be new;
  • Be approved by an accredited certification body;
  • Be Level 2 AC qualified.

Charging stations approved following a special evaluation as per the SPE-1000 standard can no longer be added to the list of eligible models.

• The applicant must be the owner or lessee of an all-electric vehicle, a plug-in hybrid vehicle or an electric motorcycle.
• In the case of a used vehicle, the vehicle owner’s name and the address at which the charging station is installed must be different from previous applications linked to the vehicle.
• The purchase of the charging station must be completed before filing the rebate application.
• The charging station must be new (a charging station used for demonstrations is not considered new at the time of resale).

Make sure the charging station model you plan to buy is on the list of eligible charging stations.
